Did dolphins live on the land?
Japanese researchers found dolphin with 'remains of legs'.
Japanese researchers said Sunday that a bottlenose dolphin captured last month has
an extra set of fins that could be the remains of back legs, a discovery that may
provide further evidence that ocean-dwelling mammals once lived on land.
A freak mutation may have caused the ancient trait to reassert itself, Osumi said.
And maybe that dolphin just wanted to move to the land and is not an ancient but modern trait?
Probably in that case we would find more and more such a dolphins with different sized extra fins.
Who knows...
