Meanwhile at appartment development side.

Decided to work on completely different than usual area today, so neverending appartment development.

Today I painted whole ceiling in the kitched and I want to belive, that it is the last time. It was not that quick, but took noticebly smaller amount of day.

Main task was floor in the hall. I finially covered it with ceramic granite.
It was supposed to be seamless granite installation, but... tiles have so precise dimensions, that difference between them was never more than half of santimeter in each side, so I was forced to make small seams and move tiles around quite for a while before they formed somewhat straight lines, although there are lots of non-straight crosses.
Nevertheless it looks cool, I'm glad I finished this part.

Meanwhile at appartment development side.

I installed vater system for the shower and thought to install the whole cabin, but found (as usual) that I do not have drills for the ceramic tiles. So, that will be postponed for a while.
Also I expect glue for ceramic tiles to be delivered today (as long as brick tiles), so that I can start hall granite covering. Although I'm a bit tired after water system installation, which took major part of the day.
It is actually simple task, but only when you have simple access to all parts. Now imagine a 10 sm thick wall, where you managed to drill two holes, each one about 2 sm in diameter (less than two fingers thick). In a meter below-left there is a bigger hole for sanitary (about 15x15 sm). Water system hatch is located 2.5 meters right to this.
Task is to put thin water tubes from water hatch to two small holes, but that splitter would be installed near bigger sanitary hole. Without direct access to any tube (you can only feel it, can not see) you have to connect them (also need to mention, that it is quite hard to put both hands into bigger hole for sanitary system) via different connectors using spanners.

I've completed the task, although not sure if it is really safe. That was challenging, and power sucking, so probably I will just slack this evening and hack some bits of captcha. Will also cover my table with the last colour level (yes, yes, it is still not done) and/or fill second varnish layer for x-shelves (they look really cool after mordant and varnish)...

Meanwhile at appartment development side.

I moved to development shop and got zillions of stuff there including various colours for ceiling in kitchen and room's ceiling plinth, ordered brick-like tiles for kitchen (about one third of walls there will be covered with bricks), got some intrument (like rubber hummer for the tiles), ordered glue for the ceramic granite for hall, also got a shower (yumi, my shower cabin was delivered today too) and related stuff for water system installation.

By the original plan, I wanted to isntall shower cabin today, but getting into account current time, it is too late for loud work, so I will proceed with my table instead. It will be completed today, or call me a ... whatever you like (out of curiosity, is there an english undecent word dictionary? I know russian one exists).
If things will move fast, I will also cover with varnish my X-shelves, and probably will make some photos...

Meanwhile at appartment development side.

Moved to the 'Leroy Merlin' development shop to get lots of stuff and found so huge crowd of people, that decided to run away as quickly as possible.
While walking there found couple of interesting things:

 • wood plates from small to 2000x600, which are perfectly polished, have acceptible for table/shelf/cupboard development thicknes, and have too small price to resist to buy. When I started my table developemnt there were no such things in broad usage at all, but I will not stop, just because I found materials, which allow to build it much faster and simpler. But for usual shelves I will definitely get it there and will not implement things myself from real wood plates (those ones are made using glueing technology from much smaller plates, I used similar to implement thick enough part of my 'L'-style table).
 • bath cabins are incredibly ugly and unacceptibly bad-made. I knew that before though.
 • found bar installation, which want to setup at home - likely it will be my only table in kitchen, I like it very much.
 • my kitchen (actually right now it is heavily used as joinery only) has only 3/4 of walls covered with wallpapers, today I've known, that my wallpaper model will not be sold anymore, so either I will have to reglue most of the kitchen, or I will create some interesting installation on the remaining part of the walls, and I think I already know what to put there: just like my blue wall in the room, I will put some brick-like elements in the kitchen. As a ceiling light I will install a huge wood beam hinged on chains with attached small lights. Or maybe not, who knows...
At home I attached '_' part of my 'L' table (it is not exactly 'L', but rounded very much), and started the last painting layer. Also attached holders to the walls where table will be located (my huge 2000x1500 or so table has only single leg close to the end of the longer part of letter 'L', other parts are attached to the walls). Maybe i will even install it today's night if colour will be ready.

Meanwhile at appartment development side: wine shelves.

Still trying to make something interesting at home, since there is no access to servers to fix things and implement new ideas...

Shelves will have a classical wine-cellar design, something like this:

\ /\ /\ /
\/ \/ \/
/\ /\ /\
/ \/ \/ \
\ /\ /\ /
\/ \/ \/
/\ /\ /\
/__\/__\/__\
I can not make a photo of the workplace, where wood plates are placed because of the ever crappiest repair service of Nikon, so enjoy that pseudo-grahics instead :)
Originally it was supposed to host not only bottles of wine (I do not drink wine though), beer and strong alcohol, but also some books, but I made a mistake in the design which was further increased when plates were sawn by the people (well, I gained a huge experience of not letting others do the thing I can do better, even if I pay them for that), so cells became smaller (it now can host only about 5-6 classical (0.5l) bottles of beer, each side of the square is about 17 sm) and have cut side. Both this issues forced me to rething design a little bit, so now shelves reduced its functionality, but looks probably even more interesting than in original design.
So far I did not finished wood polishing and did not start its mordanting and plastering, but only contructed the whole structure on the floor, so it will take a while to finish, but result is expected to worth all the eforts.
One told me that there is something similar in Ikea, well, there is always something similar in Ikea no matter what you created or only thought about, but that completely does not matter - only process of creation matters and that is the most interesting and important.

Meanwhile at appartment development side.

Well, when you are sick it is generally not a very good idea to work on something, but this state can produce very interesting ideas. So, I decided to change my table, so I 'disconnected' a leg (there is only one, other side is connected to the wall near the window), removed all varnish layers using a plane, polished a bit by grinding machine and painted both sides of the table with new dark chocolate colour. Looks pretty good, but since orgalite, used on both sides, is made out of wood fibers, it is not 100% smooth, although second layer of the colur is a mandatory, it is possible, that it will not be enough. I want if not completely smooth surface, but at least that hand moved on top of it would eel nothing. Managed to paint hands and feet, but at least hair was not touched (although I'm not sure).
Also installed number of electricity sockets, so there is no need to place kettle far from the 'bed' (i.e. part of the floor).

Overall it was a good development day, I expect next one to be as much as productive if not more. Nevertheless I hate to be sick...

Completed electricity socket setup.

Also replaced electricity switch with the new one and installed warm floor thermal system in the bathrom, but the latter is not yet fully completed (wires are connected without good isolation yet and thermal controller is not placed into its own socket in the wall, but hungs around on wires), but it work (do not know how good, and I will turn electricity off when move from home, will check it thermal capabilities when I'm able to stop the fire...

Meanwhile at appartment development side.

I started electricity projects in the bathroom, which required to setup electicity sockets for light switch and warm floor. During installation I managed to get dirty of assembly foam, which, if you do not know, is much much more heavier to clean than any other material we have. And I managed to make dirty not hands (that's usual), but hair (I first time worked without hat).
This forced me to wash my head with acetone... It was not that bad actually, maybe except its smell, so eventually I cleaned almost all dirty areas (about one quarter I belive, since I have no mirror I can not say for sure) and washed it couple of times usual way, but that stopped me from further development for today.
Maybe I will finish it tomorrow.

Got grinding wheel machine from frieds.

Will order some equipment tomorrow and continue table and shelves development.
Since my kitchen is not completed, it will be cleaned and temporarily transformed into wood workshop. I also have to complete some electricity projects (in kitchen, bathroom and hall).

Meanwhile at appartment development side.

I think I completed my bathroom cleaning, ceiling installation and so on, the only missing thing there is single corner of 3 tiles wide - I have no glue for ceramic tiles so can not finish it yet, but eventually things will be completed.
Today I even installed washing machine there. Likely for all of you this sounds like a complete craziness, but I lived with hand washing more than a year already in my loft, now I think I entered 21 century. Not tested yet though.
Next task is either to get glue for ceramic tiles and finish bathroom and hall, or implement book/bottle shelves. My camera will be ready (hopefully soon, I already confirmed repair price), so expect a lot of photos of the place I used to live for a while arelady. I really like it.

Meanwhile at appartment development side.

I spent the whole day filling holes between ceramic tiles (2-3 mm) with the special water-proof plaster. It is about 23:00 in Moscow, but things are not yet completed, but I will postpone it for a while, since tired to work in dust today.
Also got lots of wood plates to either finish table (although they are thiner than table itself) or start book/bottle shelves development. I got about 12 meters of 10 and 13 sm wood plates (three plates of two meters each for each size), each has 2 sm thickness. That should be enough for smaller installation, but since I want to have a et of X-shelves about 2 meters high, I will get more when finish to work with thoe ones. Likely I will start it this weekend.

Meanwhile at appartment development side.

I've entered civilized world - I have an Internet at home now, and not crappy slow gprs link, but real bloody fast connection.
As additional steps I completed hinged clulstered ceiling in the bathroom, although its pieces will be removed and placed back after some time, since I did not finish tile glueing yet, since I have no glue...
I also got some technics, which makes my living even more comfortable.
Also created an intersting design for book shelves, they will be shared with bottle cellar and will look like a lot of letters 'X' near each other, or like grating rotated to 45 degrees, it will be abou 1.5-2 meters high. I will made it of wood with the missing part of the table soon (hopefully I will get materials this weekend). There is also a plan to get tile glue and setup ceramic granite in the hall, after this task is finished, I can say the whole development process is really about its end.

Mostly completed appartment development.

I finished painting, glueing, covering, lights and called friends. There is number of tasks to be completed, but mostly very small, so they can be postponed for a while. I feel myself really excited about my loft, it looks very interesting for me and I do not have anything I would like to change or fix.
Groovy!

Meanwhile at appartment development side.

A lot of changes. Huge step forward was made today (and yesterday night). Right now I completed my table (although it has only isngle layer of varmish and not finished rim), mostly finished kitchen (there was not enough wallpapers, but I painted ceiling, glued all wallpapers, which I had, and will setup floor cover tomorrow), finished paintings in the room (I have a blue wall now) and hall (no uchuu yet). So, the only really needed thing is to remove huge amount of dust and garbage from the appartments and then setup floor cover.
I think I'm ready for New Year celebration and amount of work I made will absolutely end up with a good celebration.

Table development.

It happend that I changed my table design once more, now it has single right angle. Since my wood door contains holes between wood plates, I decided not to remove orgalite (paper filled with glue) plates from top and bottom of the wood plates, but it does not soack up a mordant, so I wll get a coloured varnish and cover table plate again. It is quite hard to work with wood, especially with straigh places without plane using only knife and electric jigsaw, so I will buy one too. I also need set of chisels.
Given that, table is still in very early development stage, but one can check a preliminary photo (made by phone, so quality is not very good) here.

Since table is postponed I will paint walls in the hall and try to clean my loft a bit, I would also like to setup a boiler, start the last arc (instead of the kitchen door), but it is too loud process, so likely will postpone it for tomorrow too.
It will be busy day, and quite short actually - Mephody and Irin arrive, which is a start of the NY celebration process!

Meanwhile at appartment devlopment side: blue wall and table.

Yes, I've made it - now I have a blue wall (colour is called 'royal marine', and although it does not look like a sea (I was not near the sea so many years already that do not even recall when I was last time, maybe it was changed, and I did not see an ocean at all, so I will change that too), it looks great. But to made my feelings worse devil told me to get not enough colour, so I actually have only 3 quarters of the wall painted. Will fix it tomorrow or in a day when will move to development shop to get LED cord for the ceiling. So, painting in the room and hall will be finished very soon.
The same roughly applies to my table development. Not that I made too big progress, but I cleaned my old enter wood door (which is a base for the table), put to the floor and painted table contour on it. It looks very expressive and completely different from above pictures: there are no straight lines (although its base is letter 'L'), it will have only single leg (I bought it today) at the end of the longer side, its opposite side will be attached to the walls and will be in a level with window-sill. Maybe later I will replace single leg with leg from the floor to ceiling - that side of the table is essentially round, so it will be convenient to put there some round (glass) shelves. I tried to saw the table using my electric jigsaw, but it is quite loud process and it is about 24-00 in Moscow already, so I postponed it for tomorrow or later. It has to be completed this year, since I need a table to put a lot of things on it (for example fir made of lots of empty beer bottles and jars I have here).
Since I have no chairs, I will made couple of long benches if will have enough of materials (there are two doors here - bigger one (about 200x90 sm) is used as a base for the table, smaller one (200x60 sm) - for smaller part of letter 'L', the rest will be used for benches). I could get wood plates in development shop (it has a lot of interesting types there), but I have some troubles getting it home without a car and do not want to wait for delivery (which will took about a week).
I also got a water hatch for my bathroom today, but I will not set it up, since I have no glue for ceramic tiles, so better to devote this time to other interesting tasks.

Expect some photos of my loft closer to NY time...

Continuing appartments development.

I think I finished ceramic tiles glueing, at least for this year: first, I have no glue anymore, second, I have to glue only one vertical line with 2.5 tiles width, where vater hatch will be located, and since I do not have a hatch, I do not glue tiles.
Dirty work in bathroom has been essentially completed - I will fill 2mm holes between tiles with plaster and attach ceiling soon, and that will be the end.
Next dirty work is ceramic granite in the hall and checkroom - that will take some time, but since I have no glue and not sure it will be delivered this year, I can postpone this task too. So, main issues are painting finishing and table.
When my head is aching I frequently think out something really interesting and new, so I have a new design for the table in the mind, if I will complete it, that will be really great.
First, table is not movable, but attached to wall (potentially two walls in the corner), end of the table, which does not touch the wall is round and have singe (better steel tube) leg, another part, which touches the wall has a turn, so table looks like letter 'L' with smaller part attached to wall (and window), bigger part can be accessible from both sides.
Or something like that...

Meanwhile at appartment development side.

I painted most of the room, and then decided to make one wall either ultramarine or just marine blue. Just because I want, so waiting for the colour, otherwise root would be completed.
Also glued some bits of ceramic tiles in the bathroom - it almost ready too. Today I spent most of the time cutting tiles using corner-grinding machine to make different forms for corners, hatches, door and so on. Became dirty as hell, but completed all but corners and ceiling. Hopefully will finish them tomorrow (or likely not :).

Meanwhile at appartment development side.

I reached a big milestone yesterday - I completed wallpaper glueing in the hall, room and checkroom. Although it still requires some fixes and bits of work with a knife, it is a huge step forward. I also wanted to paint the walls in the room yesterday, but fell in slack. Today is supposed to be another heavy working day - I will move to the development shop (on the opposite side of Moscow) to get neon cord, water system hatch and ceiling for the bathroom. If I will return not that late, I Will start setting them up, otherwise will paint the room.
I'm curious, when I will have a real vacations and some rest, but I think I found an answer - tomorrow I will start discharge process at work and expect it to be completed in a week or two at most, so I will have about two weeks before the new year celebrations. Most of them will be devoted to the appartment developemnt though.
Well, we will definitely have some rest in an eternity...

Meanwhile at appartment development side.

I've completed big arc in the room and finished most of the smaller arc for the checkroom (rough strong emery paper rocks), it requires some polishing and eventual wallpaper glueing and painting. I think I will finish this part (as long as painting of all room's walls) next weekend. I want to complete room, checkroom and (hopefully) hall. The latter requires a bit more work - if I will have enough time and glue for ceramics, I will setup ceramic granit floor. I hope to get a ceiling and a water system hatch for the bathroom next weekend too, so that it would be completed too.
When it is ready, I think I will have some rest, or maybe will go a usual way - proceed with development of the kitchen. It is not that complex and will not require a lot of time actually, even if I will (and I want to) install hinged ceiling there too.

Meanwhile on appartment development side: the concrete jungle king.

Yes, I made it, I installed lavatory pan and wash-stand in the bathroom, although it is not finished yet (I did not complete glueing ceramic tiles on the small wall with door and part of the wall where water/sewerage hatch is located).
This required to complete sewerage and water projects in the bathroom, when I will get my camera back, I will make some photos - water system is not that trivial: it contains of filters for hot and cold water, counters, headers (water collectors). It does not yet support boiler, but I will set it up soon.
One of my fellows live near the good development shop, so he will bring me a special hatch, where I will install tiles; neon cord for my hinged ceiling and ceiling for bathroom.
I think I will complete it this month and it would be great if I install a shower cabin, since washing without it is a real pain in the ass.
Tomorrow I will start polishing my main arc at the room's door area and will glue bits of wallpaper I removed when made it, I also plan to start painting on the wallpapers tomorrow (and of course my 'uchuu'). If there will be enough time I will also develop small arc in the checkroom and install chains for coatrack.
The nearest future plan include hall development (ceramic granite on the floor, wallpapers and pains on the walls, fortunately I already finished painting the ceiling, this time it does not have any special details) and move to the kitchen setup.
I also want to make a table as soon as possible and start developing interesting things at home.

Appartment development sucks really lots of my power, but I do like it very much. Although I frequently break thins and then have to fix that and move forward, it is a good way I believe.

Moved to development shop.

To get some small things - screws, drills over ceramic, nuts, chains and so on, also got bits of colour to draw uchuu on the wall.
Searched for bath cabin, but "Leroy Merlin" shop has only crappy stuff, only maybe couple of cabins were good, but they contain things I really do not want to have there like radio, own shower sockets, seat and so on... I want a simple thing: two glass walls (maybe rounded) with good mechanical parts and fixes.
Still searching...

Everyone has favourites.

In development tools this is of course my corner grinding machine: Bosch GWS 11-125

Bosch GWS 11-125

Using segmented diamond Dronco Perfect disk I sawn ceramic tiles and concrete walls, metall sawing disk allows to work with any armature and even polish very delicate materials (like plastic or plaster) when it becomes old and polished enough.

Meanwhile at appartment development side.

I've spent two days glueing ceramic ceils in the bathroom - I think I completed this process by 80%, only one wall, where door is located, is not covered yet and number of vertical parts, where ceil cutting is required is not finished, since I do not have strong enough ceil-cutter (I even tried my corner-grinding machine with metall-cutting disk, but failed). Just after I completed floor glueing, I found that I completely forgot about warmed-floor setup and started to recover the whole surface - that was hard and very frustrating after I spent so much time with level, but I removed all ceils, setup warmed floor and put ceils back in about 4 hours.
Then I found that I do not have any power anymore, completely, and my back is aching like hell - try to move more than 20 kg buckets of the mortar every several minutes two days in a row... or myabe I just become older.
Looking at the bathroom I think I can say that it is good, although maybe not everyone will agree with my taste. Anyway, next weekend I will finish glueing and setup water system and needed sanitary elements.

Meanwhile at appartment development side...

I completed second plaster filling and initial polishing of the first arc and started second one (for the checkroom's door), which is smaller. Also started some minor electricity (socket setup) task in bathroom.
Nothing major actually, but something.

Meanwhile at appartment development side.

Yesterday I moved to development shop, got screws, colour and various other small bits, so I worked til the night (finished about 2 a.m.), but completed main part of arc at the room entrance. It is not finished yet - it requires clean polishing, small plaster fixage where needed and painting, but overall it is ready and looks cool. I will implement another arc instead of checkroom's door later, since such a small room does not need a door at all. This is the last piece at appartment development side I will work on this week - tomorrow I will move to sister's birthday and will not be at home couple of days.

Meanwhile at appartment development side.

I've almost completed my checkroom. I coule finish it today, but then decided that I want to make an ark for the checkroom's door, so I did not complete walpaper glueing on the wall, where door is located. Otherwise this very small room (even pantry) is finished.
I need to go to development shop this week to get a colour for room's walls, special screws for arks and tubes to extend severage system (to support shower cabin and washer), maybe I will also get new ceramic tiles to extend (not yet even started) my bathroom coverage (I want to have a contrast vertical curve on two opposite walls).
Bathroom is the next task of my appartment development. Since I ordered internet setup at home (yes, likely I'm addicted), this can be quite fast, but ISP did not yet called me about setup date.

Appartment development.

I've finally completed the room - there is number of small things to finish, but generally it is done - I finished wallpaper glueing today, which was likely the most complex part of the whole process (maybe except hinging a ceiling), since it is not designed to be performed using only two hands. During this I decided to paint wallpaper and to draw something interesting on the one of the walls, so just after room is ready, process automatically jumps to the beginning.
I have an idea what to draw on the wall, but will not disclose until it is ready, which actually will not happen very soon - I will start bathroom developing and when there will be strong desire to move to the shop (all I need I bought half a year ago), I will not process the room, and since there is no colour, my painting exercises will not start.
I can not draw, completely, so painting something interesting on the one square meter or even bigger part of the wall will be a challenge, but I do not care - that's interestng to proceed.

Wallpaper glueing.

Half of the room is completed. Since I forgot my phone in office yesterday and do not have any other watches, that was fun day - you wake up, look to the street, make some tasks being completely lost in time. This night I ended glueing about 5-00 - when I saw that sunrise is coming, although I did not know the time (if I did, likely I would stop earlier).
Only when I returned back to office (to take some food moving here, to read mails and hack), I found that it was already about 19-00.

Wallpaper glueing is not that simple task for one person as I expected before - actually I do not like how I did that, but it is possible that it is only because of glue has not stabilized yet.

Here are couple of photos of my ceiling (with and without flash).

A hook.

Big appartment development day.

And start of the big appartment development weekend.

Working from about 20-00 to 3-00 this night and half of the day resulted in completed electricity wiring on the hinged ceiling, finished ceiling paining in the room, checkroom and hall (will cover with another layer though - some colour left from previous layer painings), painted radiator tubes. I also removed old heavy anchor bolts, which hold by hammock, with new ones, which have form of a hook, so it becomes quite easy to get chains which support hammock on and off. Hooks also remove bending force from the chain (which might result in teared chain, which can hold 350 kg in usual direction, but only about 150 in bending).

All above got ability to be completed just because I moved to deveopment shop yesterday evening and bought all needed equipment. I do plan to complete room and checkroom this weekend. And probability of that event to happen is very high. Next task will be bathroom, since washing in my spartan conditions is absolutely unconvenient.
Unfortunately there is no neon cord in Leroy Merlin development shop, so that my ceiling would be fully completed, will search further, but its setup is trivial since all electric parts are already completed.
Maybe I will order a vacuum cleaner and boiler tomorrow, the former is needed to put and floor carpet, since it is very dusty, the latter is essential part of the bathroom and my water system project.

Appartments.

I've finally made a small progress in my appartments development process - I spent today's morning setting up electricity - the whole electricity project seems to be close to be completed (at least in the room, hall and checkroom). I've instealled dotty lights, completed theirs wiring, switches, transformator, fixed electricity sockets. I like my hinged ceiling even more now, it will be completed after I (eventually I will by it, sigh) paint the last layer of (clouded pearl 2) colour and buy a blue neon cord (I've also setup its electricity supply today). I do plan to move to development shop this week, hopefully tuesday, and finally complete the whole room.
I also need to switch to this task as a type of the rest, since after distributed storage state machine I feel mybrain^Wmyself a bit tired. After hinged ceiling got painted I will make its photos, hopefully I will get neon cord to that day.

Appartments.

University of Minnesota study suggests that ceiling height may affect problem-solving skills.
According to study, high ceiling activates idea of freedom, while low ceiling more constrained, confined concepts are activated.
The concept of freedom promotes information processing that encourages greater variation in the kinds of thoughts one has, said Meyers-Levy, professor of marketing at the University of Minnesota. The concept of confinement promotes more detail-oriented processing.

I knew my idea of having higher ceiling in the working area of the room (where table is going to be installed) and lower hinged ceiling with dotty lights in the rest area was scientifically correct.
Btw, I started to install dotty lights in my ceiling.

Some notes on perfectionism.
Some times you start to change good for the best, you fix small details, you redo and redo something, which is good already just to achieve perfect state. You do it in every single detail, in every single invisible part. You continue until result is really perfect.
Well, that's not about me, but nevertheless I started yet another round of cleaning my hinged ceiling. This time it will be the last one. Likely today I will by the last portion of the colour, will paint selected bits of ceiling this weekend, which were filled with plaster yesterday, and finally complete this fucking ceiling.
You can not even remotely imagine amount of knowledge (and problems) I got during its installation.
But it will be completed.
Actually, it is completed already, it just does not know this yet.

Ceiling has been painted.

It is not yet aboslutely perfect (and likely will not be), but I still want to put the last layer of colour, and then it will be done.
I also need to create dotty lights to finally draw a line.

There is one more thing I really do not like in this world (besides running) - long-hair roller, it requires to get a colour even more frequently than for each square meter and to push quite hard, which is a bit unpleasant and unconvenient task when painting a ceiling.
It is also not the best decision to paint several square meters of vertical borders and parts for the hinged ceiling using 3 sm-width ... (here would be a name for the device used to paint, it is small and is being held by one arm, but since I do not have access to the dictionary, I encrypt it this way), but in that case at least one can feel himself as an artist...

Unbelievable milestone in appartment development seems to be reached.

I'm talking about my ceiling - I've done it.
Not completely of course, but tomorrow I will paint second layer of the colour and that will be the last major thing I will do with it. Maybe it will require third one, and I have not yet setup a dotty lights, but it already does not matter - ceiling is ready.
I spent major part of the last two days filling its bits with plaster and polishing its surface, I'm dirty as pig (hmm, its a year of the pig, btw) - I washed contiguous layer of the stucco from my face, when I look to my clothes I frequently can not distinguish if some white and grey parts were there from the beginning or it is dust (although getting into account that most of my clothes is quite dark, it is frequently not a big question), I already forgot colour of my floor and how to walk without shoes. And everything is just about my ceiling.
After I paint it and setup dotty lights I can move further - glue wallpapers, setup floor cover, complete corners and another small parts.
That is a room. Next task is to complete a hall and a checkroom. I will start with painting that ceiling, which is pretty short task, since I polished it today, then I can setup wallpapers and another types of wall cover (I plan to create stone-like surface around enter door). Next one will be kitchen, which is quite simple too - ceiling painting (it does not require major polishing), wallpapers, ceramic tiles, floor cover.
The last one will be bathroom, although it is possible that I will start it before kitchen.

That is a plan.
And it can be done (even quickly), since main task is over.

To (greatly) speed myself up I need to have a table, laptop and internet at home.
After I complete main room, hall and checkroom I will start my table design implementation, likely it will happen this week.

Recent appartment development.

Do you recall my ubercool yellow hinged ceiling?
There is no such ceiling anymore - I've completely repainted the whole ceiling (not only hinged part) into pearl colour - looks really cool, but that colour is very sensitive to even small badness in the surface, so I need to put quite a bit of plaster to fix it. Then I will paint the second layer of colour.
Because of that I needed to polish quite a bit of surface (about 10 square meters on the ceiling), which was slavery work. Eventually I touched my genius part and connected emery paper to the corner-grinding machine (bolgarka, this is a must-have instrument for development as long as hammer drill I think), which allowed to speed things very noticebly, but I still was very time-constrained.
Later evening I started to setup water system, but found that I have only one adjustable spanner, which is not enough to properly fixate all details, so I do not have a proper water system yet. About 1 o'clock this night I found, that there is no water in my flat at all (and that is not my fault).
That was challenging to wash away about 1 millimeter layer of dust from my face using drinking water. Today I used the last drops to wash. That is a reason I did not fixed ceiling bits with plaster.
So, I completed a lot of things, but in a long run did not move any further.
Now I like my ceiling even more.

Meanwhile on appartments development side.

Winter is over and I can continue development - today I completed second plaster layer filling where it was required (there is a place where the last - third one would be good though, but it is not absolutely required), so essentially my main ceiling only needs painting right now, or may be I will fill it with the finish plaster with some kind of a random pattern spreaded over the ceiling before.
Hinged ceiling needs to be rubbed and repainted in some places.
To get a paint I need to move to the development shop where I will also buy special screws for my table implementation.

New table design.

I've found that my original enter door is made of quite good wood (likely pine, but I'm not yet sure) and not chipboard, so I decided to make a good table of it. If I will find another door I will create real big two-dimensional table, otherwise a bit simpler one.
I plan to make a good table so that it would be used after development is over as a writing/computer table (actually that is why I ever start building it - HP has returned my laptop from guarantee repair (hard drive exchage), so I need a working place at home to do the things).
Two designs below do not show vertical elements, since how I will made them fully depends on the fact that I will or will not find another door to work with, in the simplest case it will be just several vertical posts. Table will be covered with mordant and varnish at the end to make it look cool.
I would move to the development shop and bought a wood plates (or even a usual computer table in the shop), but it is not interesting.
So, two designs of my future table (note that it will be placed near the window on the left, chair will be placed back to the wall).

Meanwhile on appartments development side.

I've completed the most dirty part - I've covered my floor with self-leveling mix, which is hard as a rock and does not create dust. The only missing real dirty thing is leveling parts of the walls and hinged ceiling and filling with second plaster layer on the ceiling and walls parts which require that (not that much actually).
After I complete that I will paint ceiling, which requires

 • move to development shop
 • select colour
 • paint the ceiling
. I become more and more lazy - previously I worked on appartments developent several hours several days each week (and at least the whole Sunday), but now I only work couple of hours even not every Sunday... I need to create some kind of motivation.
